- Al-Madi (الماضي)

- Cognate
- A word that sounds similar and has the same meaning in both languages (e.g., telephone/tilifizyun).Pearson Edexcel
- Connectives (روابط)
- Words that link sentences together, such as 'and' (و), 'but' (لكن), 'therefore' (لذلك).Pearson Edexcel
J
- Justification
- Providing a reason for an opinion, usually using 'because' (لأن - li'anna) or 'due to' (بسبب - bisabab).Pearson Edexcel
N
- Noun-Adjective Agreement
- In Arabic, the adjective comes AFTER the noun and must match it in gender (masculine/feminine) and number (singular/plural/dual).Pearson Edexcel

- Register
