Technical exercises (scales, arpeggios, chords, or rudiments) contribute 15%, while the two supporting tests—typically involving sight-reading or improvisation, and an ear test—each contribute 25% of the remaining marks, making a total of 100 marks. Results are awarded as Pass, Merit, or Distinction based on the overall score.
