Comparison

    MasteryMind vs Up Learn

A-Level video courses sold against the price of a tutor.

Up Learn is a taught course, not a revision tool: video lessons with interleaved questions, sold at tutor-adjacent prices and marketed on completion outcomes. If you have not been taught the content — or you were taught it badly — that is worth paying for. MasteryMind assumes you have been taught it and are trying to convert that into marks: adaptive practice, exam-style answers, and marking against the mark scheme, for roughly a fifth of the monthly price.

    When to choose MasteryMind

Pick MasteryMind if the teaching has happened and the gap is practice and feedback — and if £10 a month is the budget rather than £50.

    When to choose Up Learn

Pick Up Learn if a subject has genuinely not been taught to you and you need someone to teach it, in order, on video. That is a different purchase from revision, and their outcome claims are theirs to substantiate — read them on their own site.

    Frequently asked questions

Is Up Learn better than MasteryMind?

For learning content you have never been taught, a taught video course does something we do not. For practising and being marked, we do something they do not. They are different stages of the same year, and the prices reflect it.

    What about their outcome statistics?

Up Learn publishes completion-based outcome figures on their own site. We do not publish outcome claims, because we have not measured ours on a cohort large enough to stand behind — and quoting someone else’s would not tell you anything about us.

Can I buy access until my exams?

Not as a single up-front purchase today — MasteryMind is billed monthly or annually and you can cancel any time. If a fixed until-exams price would suit you better, tell us; it is on the list.
